Experienced Leadership: Shawn Dougherty Investigations, LLC is owned and operated by Shawn Dougherty. Mr. Dougherty is a former Medicolegal Death Investigator with the Gloucester County, NJ, Medical Examiner’s Office, responsible for conducting death investigations and certifying the cause and manner of unnatural and unexplained deaths. Unnatural and unexplained deaths, including homicides, suicides, unintentional injuries, drug-related deaths, and other deaths that were sudden and unexpected. In 2001, Mr. Dougherty started his career in the Private Investigations Field. During this time, Mr. Dougherty has conducted thousands of video-surveillance operations and background investigations, as well as hundreds of witness statements, accident scene investigations and Legal Process Services.
Partner/Senior Investigator: Eric Eichmann is a South Jersey native, born and raised in the greater Cherry Hill area. With nearly 40 years in the emergency service sector, Eric is proud to partner with Shawn Dougherty Investigations LLC. Serving his local community in emergency service; starting in communications, a police officer assigned to the detective bureau. In this capacity, he served alongside the other detectives in roles including, but were not limited to: the auto theft unit, plain clothes, undercover surveillance, and background investigations. Eric transferred from the police department to the fire department, but he continued to serve as a volunteer with one of the three county tactical response teams as their medic.
